Rangpur beat Dhaka by big margin

Shawdesh desk: Rangpur Riders defeated Durdanto Dhaka by a big margin of 60 runs in the 21st game of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Tuesday.

The Riders bowled Dhaka out for just 115 runs inside 18 overs while defending 175 runs at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Mohammad Naim, 44 from 31, and Irfan Sukkur, 21 from 15, made some notable contributions to decrease the margin of their defeat as no other batters could not click properly.

Shakib Al Hasan took the highest three wickets for Rangpur while Mahedi Hasan, Salman Irshad and Hasan Mahmud got two apiece.

Earlier being asked to bat, the Riders accumulated 175 losing four wickets after 20 overs after openers Rony Talukdar, 39 from 24, and Babar Azam, 47 from 43, provided a good start for their team.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Nabi contributed 20-ball 34 and 16-ball 29 to put the challenging total.

Skipper Mosaddek Hossain picked up two wickets for Dhaka.
